Henley Ride out epic
On a hot, sunny summers day there’s nothing better than jumping on a bike and feeling of the wind in your hair and maybe up your shorts! If you’ve not got a bike of your own and you’d like to avoid the traffic or spend some time exploring around Henley, Henley Cycles has the answer with their daily/weekly bike hire.
Henley is perfectly situated in the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
With dappled woodlands full of bridleways, open pastures with magnificent viewpoints and the glittering meandering River Thames.

From country pubs to riverside dining, pretty villages and historic market-towns; taking a bike ride is the best way to experience our beautiful countryside.

Not wanting to go too far? How about cycling to Shiplake along the Thames Path and stop off at The Baskerville for refreshments or a bite to eat, or along the towpath towards Hambleden Lock and grab something cold from The Lockdown Lodge pop-up on the banks of the River Thames. Or maybe cycle to one of the many vineyards in and around Henley, taking in Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery, Fairmile Vineyard, Oaken Grove Vineyard or Kingwood Estate.
For a day out or cycling further afield there are signs for the Chiltern Cycleway (a 170 mile circular cycle route through the Chilterns) from the town centre. You can find more information about the route including downloadable maps here The Chilterns AONB – Route Information.

There are plenty of cycle racks in Henley so you can pop into town, visit one of Henley’s fabulous shops or maybe sit in the sunshine enjoying something to eat or drink. They are located in Hart Street, Bell Street, New Street Slipway, Thameside/Friday Street and Market Place.
